About the Item

The I.S.A. (Industria Salotti e Arredamenti) manufacture also known as ISA, ISA Bergamo and ISA Italia was founded in the late 1940s near Bergamo in Ponte San Pietro. It made furniture and seating models for Veronesi, Fiori and Morelli. In the 1960s he had a department producing furniture for the U.S. market. During this period he acquired a license to produce the famous Sheriff Chair by Brazilian architect Sergio Rodrigues. It is interesting to read Tino Sana's biography titled "The Orphan Who Could Dream" where in one chapter he recounts his experience as a skilled worker at ISA during the economic boom years. Here we have a wonderful set of six chairs designed by Leonardo Fiori in the 60s, made of wood structure, seat and backrest padded and covered in velvet. Presence of the label ISA under the seats. In very good condition and fully original, ready to be shipped.
