About the Item
A very impressive and rare set of four strikingly attractive racing green leather and red oak Regency style dining chairs in lovely vintage condition. Likely made in the early-to-mid 20th Century, the rich and vibrant colouring, timelessly sophisticated design and super quality of these splendid dining chairs will enhance any interior with a stunning and refined classical Country House aesthetic.
Impressively sized and reassuringly heavy, these gorgeous dining chairs are made from excellent quality solid red oak, displaying lovely grain patterning and beautiful carvings. Extremely comfortable, they have sprung-padded seats and are upholstered in excellent quality studded racing green leather to the seats and both front and rear of the padded backs.
Wonderfully crafted in the Regency style, they have charming, pierced back stiles and feature refined, decorative carving throughout. The front legs are elaborately turned and the gently curving rear legs transform into the back stiles, which have fluted carving to match the front and side seat aprons, are capped by attractive scrolled ears and flank standout curved central crest rails with grand laurel wreath motif carvings.
All in all this is an extremely attractive and distinguished set of dining chairs, which won’t fail to impress and add super comfort, knockout colour, excellent quality and refined grandeur to any setting.
CONDITION
This fabulous set of dining chairs is in very good vintage condition. Structurally sound and sturdy, they have only minor to-be-expected marks and bumps to show their age. The excellent quality racing green leather is in super condition. Overall they’re a very attractive and distinguished set of dining chairs in lovely condition and if well looked after they should remain so for many more generations to come – please see the photos.
