About the Item

Set of eight Arbat cubist arm dining chairs designed by architect Constantin Boym for Brickell. The chairs bold lines are inspired by Russian Constructivist architecture. Refinished hard maple frames in an ebony stain, includes re-upholstery COM. Constantin leads Boym partners and is head of industrial Design at Pratt University. Chairs are no longer in production. Measures: Seat height 19" H. Bio. Constantin Boym was born in Moscow in 1955, where he graduated from Moscow Architectural Instutute. He later earned a Master's degree in Design from Domus Academy in Milan, and in 1988, Boym became a registered architect in the United States. In 1986, he founded Boym Partners in New York City. He has designed tableware, watches, furniture and lighting, as well as showroom and retail displays and exhibition installations. Boym's designs are included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. (from Geiger / Brickell website).
