Each frame has been structurally revised for stability while preserving the original character, joinery, and quiet authenticity of the antique wood. The chairs are newly upholstered in a durable, linen-textured performance fabric with natural and washed dark blue vertical stripes. The woven textile has a soft hand and a one-inch repeat that allows the stripes to fall in a clean, tailored rhythm. The upholstery is meticulously executed: each stripe is aligned with precision to elongate the silhouette, while a custom welt-band trim - cut from the fabric’s contrasting stripe - traces the curved crest and sides, giving the backs a crisp architectural outline.
