About the Item

Sturdy carved structure with turned front legs, original seat padding and back with springs and straps of the era, yellow sanitized velvet upholstery in fair condition still usable. Structural rigidity typical of the Renaissance style. Chairs, 20th century, with velvet upholstery still usable. IMPORTANT: ON REQUEST WE WILL RE-UPHIDE THE CHAIRS WITH A SUPPLEMENT OF $ 150 EACH. Reinforced structure of the chairs for daily use. Spring seat. Splendid original antique patina. Measures in cm: H 46/110, W 45, D 45. About: Bonciani-Cascina The Tuscany Bonciani firm, important and famous furniture maker, especially for Renaissance style furniture, appreciated in Italy and abroad, was born on the initiative of Michele Bonciani in 1851. Upon his death on 21 December 1936, the firm was handed over by inheritance to Marino Ivo and Mario Bonciani who set up a de facto company. The firm changed partners again when Marino Ivo Bonciani died on 11 April 1940, replaced by Graziella Benincasa, Bonciani's widow. The company had also received various awards for its work: the Cascina Municipality Award in 1906, the Cascina Campionaria Grand Prix in 1922, the Lucca Biennale Exhibition Grand Prix in 1926, the Tripoli Exposition Grand Prix in 1927. On 31/12/1947 the firm ceased due to the dissolution of the company
