We delight to offer for sale this stunning set of eight hooped back dining chairs with back bar carved circular motifs above an upholstered drop-in seat, inlaid roundel to top of legs and on shaped feet , made by Jeremy Green .

Jeremy Green
On leaving school Jeremy Green (b.1951) briefly considered a career as a medic but soon discovered that this was not for him. He went on to gain an Honours Degree in Archacology, Ancient History and Egyptology from the university of Liverpool. While in Liverpool he spent a lot of time in the library where he read about and fell in love with the Arts
Crafts movement. This led him to train with Oliver Morel (1916-2003) at Moreton in Marsh, not far from his parents house in Chipping Campden. His parents allowed him the use of part of their house to pursue his vocation and he soon became a restorer, woodworker and cabinet maker. Much of his work was produced as private commissions but he also sold through Gallery at the Guild in Chipping Campden and via exhibitions he arranged in the local area. he became a well-known figure in Chipping Campden and was the owner and editor of the Campden Bulletin for over 30 years.
