About the Item
This set of Eight chairs was designed by Alexandre Rapoport in Brazil in the 1960s. The chairs are entirely made in Rosewood and have a seat and backrest in caning. Each chair is beautifully sculpted with a tall backrest and an inclined seat for comfort. The rosewood has been refinished and the caning is new.
The photos feature 8 chairs. The chairs can be purchased as a set or individually.
Designer Bio:
Alexandre Rapoport (1929-) is a renowned Brazilian artist and designer, celebrated for his painting, architecture, engraving and furniture. Rapport gained recognition for his surrealist work and his expertise across many mediums and industries.
Throughout the 1960s, Rapoport dedicated his time and craft to furniture design, leveraging his extensive experience in the arts to create visually stimulating pieces. His furniture designs are distinguished for their unique aesthetic, reflecting his artistic background and meticulous craftsmanship. His pieces continue to be celebrated for their artistic value and rarity.
