About the Item
Dining chair, estimated 1950s, designed by Carlo Ratti. Originally demonstrating his skills at a manufacturer specialising in mass-produced items for cinemas and industrial use, he established Industria Legni Benvati independently in the 1940s, subsequently broadening his scope as an interior designer. A defining characteristic of Carlo Ratti's designs lies in their unique silhouettes. Sculpturally beautiful and innovative curves are a hallmark of his products, and this chair fully utilises the enveloping form of its backrest. The seat features a drop-in type construction, making it easy to reupholster later and ensuring high practicality.
【Fabric】
Features an elegant, lustrous velvet fabric with a refined sheen. The nap provides a smooth, luxurious feel against the skin. Its vibrant colour reproduction is another appealing aspect. Both the fabric and inner padding are reupholstered domestically.
