About the Item
This iconic Italian Midcentury Modern DSC 106 stacking chair was designed 1965 by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli Italy. It features a cognac brown leatherette seat and back in very nice condition with only a few signs of wear due to its age. The aluminum base with plastic covered legs are also in nice condition with some wear, but still very good looking. On the underside you can find the manufacturers mark with model name.
Perfect and stylish to use as dining chair as well as office chair.

Giancarlo Piretti
Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1940. He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums, including MoMA, New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with his son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
