We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely suite of eight original Dutch circa 1900 hand carved Walnut, rush seat dining chairs. A very good looking and well-made suite, the timber is all solid Walnut and ornately carved, the seats the original rush woven straw, these are timeless masterpieces in their simplicity that have been made for centuries and will continue to be made In terms of the condition, we have lightly cleaned waxed and polished the frames, they will have normal patina marks from honest use and genuine age. Dimensions of the two carver armchairs Height:- 105cm Width:- 58.5cm Depth:- 53cm Seat height:- 45cm Dimensions of the six standard chairs Height:- 105cm Width:- 44.5cm Depth:- 41cm Seat height:- 45cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
