About the Item

An extraordinary Set of twelve Irish Regency Mahogany dining chairs, C. 1830. The set has particularly rich and handsome wood with deep color and excellent graining. Each Chair features a rare Stylized back splat with a surprisingly Contemporary look, tapered and fluted front legs, H-Form Stretcher base. Custom upholstered in a quality fabric with Twining Stylized Flowers on a Pale Celadon Pin-Striped background. The Set I has a solid feel and the Chairs are very comfortable. Dimensions: Each Chair measures 20” wide by 17” deep by 36” high. Seat height is 19”. Condition: Please review all detail photos. One chair has a break and losses at the top and separation to the back-splat from the back-rest (Clearly shown in photos) which will require professional repair. One chair with stable age split at the join between the back splat and top rail (Shown in photos). There are various expected signs of wear including some slight time-softened nicks, rubs, scratches, slight losses and etc. to the frames which are all reduced and blended by a fine professional polish. The fabric with some old spots and staining however still presenting well.
