About the Item
This set of six French Louis XVI style chairs and two Louis XVI style armchairs is the ideal addition to any elegant home. Each seat is supported by a carved wooden base painted in a creamy white, creating a beautiful contrast with the striped blue upholstery. The flat rectangular chair backs rest on tapered, rudenté legs. These chairs were modelled by Jean Baptiste Séné, a Parisian designer from the mid-19th century who worked in the tradition of the 18th century. This set is in the decorative style popularized by Maison Jansen.
