Gianni Moscatelli dining chairs for Formanova, black faux-fur and iron, Italy, 1968.
This chair represents timeless items designed by Gianni Moscatelli for Formanova in the 1960s. Its design features pure and functional lines, enhanced by some contrasting details such as the chromed-metal plates surrounding the lower part of the legs. Explicitly reminding the iconic Charlotte Perriand "LC7" for Cassina, this chair features a patinated iron four-leg structure. The genius of the designer is particularly visible in the two side connecting elements that link the bottom structure to the backseat, merging structural needs with esthetics. This chair is versatile, suitable either as dining chair or office chair. Recently reupholstered in faux-fur, the padded seating and back make this model comfortable and cozy.
