2 1940s Mid Century Modern Molded Plywood Dining Chairs Made In The USA, Also Know As The Model 102 Chairs. Herbert von Thaden and Donald Lewis Jordan The Designing Duo Of T/J Molded Plywood Furniture Company Of The 1940s. These Dining Chairs Are Know As The Model 102 Molded Birch Plywood, United States, circa 1947. The Model 102 Construction Epitomizes A Simplistic Yet Timeless Aesthetics. Thaden-Jordan Used The Building Methods Founded During World War ll Like The Bent Plywood of Charles And Ray Eames And Other Top Designers Of The 1940s. The Chairs Are Built Up Of Two Pieces Of Plywood That Are Bent Into Shape Then An Open Space Is Left Open In The Backrest Which Adds to The Aesthetics Of The Design. Each Chair Has It's Original Label And A Stamp That Says "T/J Molded Plywood Furniture" - "Thaden-Jordan Furniture Corporation, Roanoke, Virginia". via internet Each Chair Is Sturdy And In Great Vintage Condition, And Does Show Some Age And Use Throughout The Years.
