About the Item

An elm and ash provincial Windsor dining chair, dating from the late c.19th. Solid curved top rail over a ring turned slat with central block. Saddled well figured elm seat, raised on ring turned splayed legs supported by H-stretcher. This chair is in good and original condition, without damages or repairs. Very well presented and ready for use. Dimensions: The chair measures approximately 85 cm (33.5") tall, 44 cm (17.25") wide, and 42 cm (16.5") deep. The seat height is approximately 45 cm (17.75"). Condition: Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chair is in a good and original condition commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. There are some minor marks, blemishes and wear on the frame. No loose joints. No obvious signs of repair. Some minor aged natural splits to the seats. Lovely patina, colour and wax polish throughout. This chair has been through the workshop and has been carefully serviced, cleaned and waxed, and is now very much ready to be used. - As with all vintage antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear tear, etc.
