About the Item
Set of 4- teak dining chairs "HAMAR" designed by Louis van Teeffelen for Wébé, the 1960s, The Netherlands.
Very comfortable dining room chairs come in a teak frame and contrasting light upholstery. The elegantly curved teak wood base and backrest represent Mid-Century Modern Dutch design. WéBé is an acronym for the two family names Walraven
Bevers. Two Dutch furniture-making families joined forces in 1938 and founded WéBé in Beneden Leeuwen (the Netherlands). The company prospered in the 1950s and 1960s into one of the giant furniture factories in the Netherlands, with Louis Van Teeffelen as one of their most important and best-known designers.
When you choose for used mid-century design, you use what is already there, making it sustainable. You may not give the furniture a second, but even a third or fourth life.
