About the Item

Elegant Jatoba dining chairs produced in the 1960's. The Jatoba frame has been sanded and waxed and is in great condition. The chairs are extremely light. Each chairs weighs 2.5 kilo only! The seatings have their original eco leather upholstery. We advise the chairs to be re-upholstered. Price is for the set of 4 chairs. Colors may slightly vary due to photographic lighting sources or your monitor settings. Wear consistent with age and use. The chairs will be shipped insured overseas in a custom made wooden crate. Cost of insured transport to the US is Euro 975 crate included.

He is most famous for his chair and sofa designs, which combine low-profile hardwood structures with plush leather upholstery. “I’ve always been drawn to the motion features of furniture,” he’s said. “The engineering and design work that goes into its mechanisms is fascinating and fulfilling.” Born on April 12, 1936 in Brazil, he studied at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University College of Architecture in São Paulo.
