The Olifant handmade ceramic, luxury dining chair is designed by Egg Designs and manufactured in South Africa.
The dining chair is available in 2 options, Ceruse Oak black and Ceruse Oak natural.
The Olifant dining chair has a 70's aesthetic with Brutalist lines, but with a strong modern interpretation. Each ceramic tile is individually hand molded and glazed, this ensures that each tile is unique which means that every chair is individual, no two will look the same. The ceramic tiles are individually applied to ensure variances in color, size and thicknesses, these variances create an uneven surface and are the signature of the chair. The handmade quality that the tiles allow is juxtaposed with an expertly crafted Oak timber frame. The addition of a solid brass handle to the top allows for easy use when pulling out the chair.
The ceramic tile cladding to the Olifant dining chair is offset with Ceruse oak and leather upholstery. This dining chair would be equally at home in either a mid century modern, classical, minimal or modern interior.
