Pair of dining chairs, beech, straw, France, 1960s.
Stunning set of French chairs with red beech frames and classic organic straw seats. This set of dining chairs features a solid wooden frame, consisting of cylindrical thick legs that are connected to each other with elegant slim horizontal slats. The way this large set is designed shows a strong resemblance to the ´Dordogne´ chairs designed by Charlotte Perriand. Particularly the characteristic method of folding straw rope vertically, which leaves this typical horizontal line in the middle of the back and the seat.
