Legendary Lucite Designer Michel Dumas, there's not a lot know about French designer Michel Dumas but he is famous for his lucite furniture.
Set of 4 rare sculptural Lucite dining chairs by Michel Dumas for Atelier Michel Dumas. These chairs were made in the 1970s out of one piece of Lucite which was heated and then molded into the right shape. Very heavy and sturdy, the Plexi is 1,5 cm thick. In good vintage condition with wear according age.

Michel Dumas
Michel Dumas was a French painter from Lyons. He was a pupil of Grobon and Bonnefond at the National School Fine Arts De Lyon. He later moved to Paris, where he entered the workshop of Ingres, with whom he established a lifelong friendship. Through the income from private commissions, he left for Rome, where he stayed, with Ingres, for 16 years. Dumas ended his career in his hometown as a professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and died in 1885.MICHEL DUMAS (FRANCE, 1812–85)
