Set of eight dining chairs, stained oak, iron, France, 1960s
Characteristic set of French dining chairs. In absence of decoration, the rounded gap in the backrest gets an important visual role as it contrasts with the sharp, angular lines of the frame and seat. A remarkable feature are the flared legs, emphasizing the overall sturdy design. Six round iron bolts attach the backrest to its frame. Fully executed in stained oak, this set of chairs has a rustic yet honest exterior.
