Pair of dining chairs, oak, iron, Europe, 1970s
These chairs exemplify a harmonious synthesis, seamlessly blending the robustness inherent in Brutalist style with the understated simplicity characteristic of rustic design. The backrest is executed in a trapezoidal shape, adorned with a distinctive central aperture and iron plates on the rear. The base takes shape through the placement of two wooden frames on opposing sides, arranged diagonally to yield a cross-shaped configuration. Its particular sculptural quality in conjunction with the usage of materials, and skilled craftsmanship, converge to create this splendid design.
Please note that these items are in good, used condition with visible signs of age and use, including scratches. Additionally, slight variations in back height and seat height between the chairs are present, due to their hand-crafted nature.
