Set of 10 19th century Chippendale design dining chairs
Fine quality set of dining chairs in the Chippendale taste, circa 1860.
Set comprises of 8 single and 2 carver armchairs. Some slight variations in proportions and detailing but this set of chairs has always been together as a set.
Made in mahogany and beautifully hand carved back rests, drop in seats. Each standing on front carved cabriole legs with ball and claw foot and tapering leg to the reverse.
Minor surface marks to woodwork. Strong and sturdy and ready for everyday use.
