This is a set of four antique dining chairs. An English, elm and beech spindle back kitchen seat, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920. Wonderfully versatile chairs with a traditional country house appearance Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order Quality elm and beech stocks show fine grain interest Light biscuit hues enchant with an appealing natural finish Bowed top rail supported by a pair of uprights with turned spindles inside Striking shaped splat with pierced fretwork completes the supportive back rest Charming saddle seat anatomically shaped at a comfortable height of 44.5cm (17.5’’) Presence of the George VI crown audit mark adorns the rear of the seat squab Standing upon a quartet of turned and splayed legs with peg feet Each leg united with a tapered H-stretcher rail Well suited to use in a waiting room or home kitchen environment This is a charming set of antique dining chairs, graced with appealingly light colour and early 20th century craftsmanship.
