A rare and highly refined set of four Italian dining chairs designed by Silvio Coppola and produced by Fratelli Montina during the 1970s.
The chairs are executed in solid ash wood with original cognac leather upholstery, a combination that is seldom encountered as a complete set and particularly rare in such well-preserved and visually harmonious condition. All four chairs retain their original leather seats, which have developed a rich and evenly matched cognac patina, adding depth and character to the ensemble.
Despite their sculptural and architectural appearance, the chairs are notably sturdy and comfortable, reflecting Coppola’s ability to balance expressive form with functional design. The ash wood frames display a distinct and lively grain pattern with a warm golden tone that complements the leather beautifully. Visible stitching along the edges of the backrests further emphasizes the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
