About the Item

Set of 6 'Windsor' dining chairs by Jørgen Anker Heegaard, designed in 1940 My favourite early Fritz Hansen dining chair gives a elegant and unique take on the spindle back English Windsor chair. The four feet are organically shaped and have no inner supports giving them a very light base. No unneeded design features, only the essentials needed to create a design classic. The chairs are made in beech and have a black painted finish showing it's age in places with a charming worn patina. Manufactured by Fritz Hansen in 1940s. Due having the original artist drawing for this chair in my personal collection, I'm able to fully assign the chair to it's original designer Jørgen Anker Heegaard. The last 4 pictures show some details of the original technical drawing. Drawing not included.
