A rare and extraordinary set of 8 dining chairs produced by Maison Regain, specifically chosen by the legendary Charlotte Perriand for the renowned Hotel "Cascade Les Arcs 1600" in the 1960s. As confirmed by archival photographs (see final image), these chairs once graced the interiors of this iconic alpine retreat, blending Perriand’s philosophy of functional beauty with rustic charm. The design features a striking interplay of geometric joinery and a split-seat configuration, creating an aesthetic that is both sculptural and functional. Despite their minimalist appearance, the chairs are surprisingly comfortable, embodying the perfect balance between form and utility—a hallmark of Perriand’s vision. Over the decades, these chairs have undergone numerous restorations and alterations. Some structural changes were made using screws to stabilize the design, resulting in visible marks on three chairs (as shown in detailed photos). Our expert restoration team has meticulously worked to recover their original integrity while preserving their storied character. These imperfections, far from detracting from their charm, narrate the journey of these remarkable pieces and add to their unique appeal. Condition: Vintage with patina and visible restorations.
