About the Item

A rare collection of eight 19th-century faux bamboo armchairs, retaining their original mustard-yellow paint finish and exhibiting a pleasing, authentic patina. The caned seats have been meticulously replaced and are now in excellent condition and ready for immediate use. Structurally, the chairs remain sound and very sturdy, showing only the expected surface wear and minor paint loss consistent with their age and period of use, which only adds to their character and historical appeal. Overall, they present as a charming and well-preserved group, each piece showing character and a strong sense of presence.
