About the Item
A set of eight finely crafted Hepplewhite style mahogany dining side chairs. Each with carved frames and openwork Fan back splats with a running scroll band and leaves. Raised on square tapering legs, the front ones fluted with leaves at the tops. With custom upholstered seats in a pale yellow and pink stripe.
Dimensions: 37" H x 20 1/2" W x 16 1/2" D x 19" H seat
Condition: Please review the detail photos. Various signs of age and use include a repair to one back leg with dowels retouched. Stable age cracks and a small loss to one crest rail and time-borne wear and aging to the wood. Some expected scrapes to some legs and feet. There are old stains on most seats and re-upholstery is recommended. Despite the wear the set retains an elegant and refined presentation.
