About the Item

A lovely set of eight antique shield back dining chairs in the Sheraton style. They were made in England, and date from around the 1930’s. The quality is superb, they have beautifully carved pierced back rests with Prince of Wales feather motifs. They have tapered legs terminating in spade feet, with stretchered bases for extra stability. We have had the frames re-polished and the drop in seats have been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for their age. Width carvers – 23 inches , 58 cm Width side chairs – 21 inches , 54 cm Depth – 22 inches , 56 cm Height – 39 inches , 98 cm Seat height – 18 inches , 46 cm
