About the Item

Consisting of eight side chairs, each with a rectangular back with trellis splats, upholstered seats raised on square tapered fluted legs. Resided on Park Avenue in New York for the first half of the 20th century and were graced by Cole Porter and Oscar Hammerstein who were friends of the previous owner. Heirs of Thomas Fortune Ryan.
