About the Item

A striking and complete set of eight Italian early 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated and giltwood dining side chairs from Tuscany. Each chair is raised by patinated fluted legs with Fine topie shaped feet and lovely giltwood foliate accents and top caps. Above each legs are richly carved giltwood block rosettes centering striking pierced palmettes at the frieze. The upholstered back support displays an elegant scrolled shape with a giltwood fillet at the border and rich foliate carvings. All original gilt and patina throughout.
