About the Item

A very stylish set of five Louis XIII-style dining chairs, each one featuring a padded scrolled button back and over-stuffed seat, upholstered in a pale gold fabric and secured all round with nailhead trim. The chair legs are slim and beautifully turned, with a carved detail at the knees, and resting on castors. They are joined with a shaped and carved cross stretcher, with a simple roundel at its centre. Supremely comfortable, these chairs do have some small signs of wear in the form of loose stitching on some of their backs, as well as some small marks on the upholstery, but they are sturdy and beautifully made, and would be an asset in any dining room.
