The 1950s in France marked a flourishing period for modernist design, showcasing the artistry of functional forms and skilled craftsmanship. Furniture from this era embraced clean lines, minimal ornamentation, and leaned on the honesty of materials to reflect the post-war ethos of practicality and renewal. This set of four chairs epitomises the restrained elegance of modernism and robust utility.
