Set of Seven 19th C French Provençal Ladder Back Walnut Rush Seat Dining Chairs, c. 1880. Walnut ladder back wood frames with carved foliage on lower stretcher and cabriole legs. Seats made of woven rush. Good overall condition. Light wear to finish throughout. Rush in good condition. 6 Side chairs: 18.75" wide x 18" deep x 38" high x 18" seat height 18.5" wide x 17" deep (seat dimensions) 1 Arm chair: 25.25" wide x 21" deep x 38.25" high x 27" arm height x 15.5" seat height 19.25" wide x 21" deep (seat dimensions) Provenance: Private Collection, East Hampton The Marquess of Granby, Lake Oswego, Oregon
