About the Item

A handsome and high quality set of six French 19th century Renaissance st. Walnut and Leather dining chairs. Each wonderfully decorative chair is raised on four mottled block feet connected by flat stretchers at the bottom and double X designed supports with a recessed central band and rounded rosette decoration with a reeded design. Above is the brown leather upholstered seat trimmed with French nails below the pierced back showcasing baluster shaped supports below the leather back rest. The two outer back supports lead to the curved and carved back rail with wonderfully detailed acanthus leaves. The two curved rails flank the central turned spindle with a reeded ball at the center. Wonderful and warm patina throughout.
