About the Item

A perfect example of Post-War Scandinavian design, this set of “Model 495” dining chairs was designed by Herman Seeck for the Asko company in Finland during the 1950s. With their minimal yet striking silhouette, these chairs reflect the Finnish Modernist movement’s emphasis on practicality, material honesty, and graceful form. The gently contoured backrests and clean lines reveal the designer’s deep sensitivity to both ergonomics and aesthetics. Each chair features a warm birch or beechwood frame with subtle sculptural details, paired with a green Skai (faux leather) upholstered seat that adds a pop of vintage color while remaining highly durable.
