About the Item

A beautiful and elegant set of six vintage Italian midcentury walnut dining chairs. They date from around the 1950’s. The quality is excellent, they are beautifully designed and are very much in the manner of Paulo Buffa. The solid walnut frames have a lovely warm colour tone and patina, they stand on elegant splayed legs. They have been recently re-polished and re-upholstered in a beautiful gold patterned fabric. The condition is excellent for their age, with only some incredibly minor wear here and there. A stylish and extremely well made set of eight Danish vintage teak dining chairs by Johannes Andersen, dating from the 1960’s. They are of outstanding quality with a gorgeous design, they are very comfortable and supportive. They have a beautiful and sculptural design, the curved back rests sweep down into the sides of the seats, they stand on beautifully tapered legs. We have had the solid teak frames stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is excellent throughout. The black vinyl seats are in superb condition, they appear to have been upholstered at different times as four are slightly more matt in finish, while four have more of a shine.
