About the Item
Extraordinary set of ten black lacquered faux-bamboo dining chairs designed in the Chinese Chippendale taste. The set consists of all armchairs with arms measuring 27.25 inches high. The chairs feature thick carved beech wood with a faux bamboo motif finished in a dramatic black lacquer. The seats are upholstered with a colorful chinoiserie style fabric with an Indian motif. The fabric is bordered by a double welt in ruby red. The chairs are heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The vintage fabric shows well and is very presentable. Sold as a set of 10. From an estate in Beverly Hills, California. The chairs have a lovely open fretwork design on the back and sides with humped seat crest.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery and construction. Age appropriate wear and fading as seen in photos. Vintage fabric shows well and is very presentable. Minor chips, scuffs, and scratches which are difficult to see.
