About the Item

Set of twelve dining chairs, beech, straw, France, 1960s. Stunning set of twelve French chairs with red beech frames and classic organic straw seats. This set of twelve dining chairs features a solid wooden frame, consisting of cylindrical thick legs that are connected to each other with elegant slim horizontal slats. The way this large set is designed shows a strong resemblance to the ´Dordogne´ chairs designed by Charlotte Perriand. Particularly the characteristic method of folding straw rope vertically, which leaves this typical horizontal line in the middle of the back and the seat. Please note that these chairs are in good, used condition.
