About the Item

A set of six handpainted, Sheraton dining side chairs with handwoven, rush seats and stenciled backs from the New England states, circa 1840's. Chairs are finished in a rare, ochre color with hand-painted black details all on turned legs. These chairs exhibit a Hitchcock influence. One chair rests on ball feet and has slightly different details.
