About the Item

Very rare set of ‘Strip’ dining chairs with armrests, designed in 1974 by Gijs Bakker for Castelijn in the Netherlands (marked). Only a limited amount of these chairs were made with armrests. This inventive design consists of six curved strips that are connected to each other in without any joints. The curved strips form together a dynamic chair design. This set of four chairs is stackable and will come in dark-brown wenge colored Ashwood. In very good condition with normal wear due to age and use. You will receive the original folder with the set. The set has a very beautiful appearance.
