This beautiful Danish oak chair embodies the charm of Mid-Century Modern design combined with Brutalist Baroque influences in the spirit of Henning Kjærnulf. The carved backrest features striking symmetrical motifs, a double cross, reminiscent of religious symbols, giving the piece a sculptural, almost story-like presence.
Despite its modest back height, the carefully shaped armrests provide unexpected comfort and support, making it a functional as well as decorative piece. The solid oak frame has been fully cleaned, lightly restored, and treated with clear oil to bring out its natural grain and warmth.
