Beautifully restored set of four vintage Mid-Century Swedish Modern dining chairs often referred to as “Forsa style” which is a graceful, refined take on the traditional spindle-back chair, or pinnstol. The design is rooted in a tradition that values craftsmanship, reflecting the lasting influence of designers like Carl Malmsten, who modernized classic Swedish Gustavian forms. Likely produced in the 1950s or early 1960s, the chair has been expertly restored with new lacquer and fully upholstered in Perennials performance fabric “Shearling” boucle’ in a blue-gray “Shale” color. This contemporary textile choice, designed by famed Belgian architect Vincent Van Duysen, gives the vintage Swedish form a sophisticated, current design sensibility.
