About the Item

A perfect representation of the organic modern style, the ‘Medea’ chairs were designed by Vittorio Nobili for Fratelli Tagliabue in 1955. The teak wood seats are supported by black enamelled steel legs, accented with brass hardware. The natural beauty of the black lacquered wood grain is accentuated by its sculpted plywood form. First advertised in Domus Issue 329 in April 1955, they have become an iconic piece of mid-century design and highly collectible. Rare to find in their black lacquer.
