Restored Belle Époque Hand-Carved Oak Footstool with Handwoven Cane Top, Spain, Circa 1900
This elegant footstool originates from Spain and dates to the Belle Époque period, around the turn of the 20th century. It features a solid oak frame with detailed hand-carved accents and a top made of natural cane, which has been completely re-woven by a specialist using traditional handcraft techniques.
The piece has been fully restored: the oakwood has been refinished to enhance its natural grain and tone, and the cane top has been renewed to ensure both durability and aesthetic integrity. The result is a clean, functional accent piece that retains its historic character.
