A very good looking and well-made stool, it has been upholstered with high grade premium cattle hide leather which has been hand dyed this nice cigar brown colour, the leather is held in place with vintage hand hammered studs.
The stool has wonderfully sculpted legs, these style is known as the Baron footstool, the design dates to the Regency era circa 1810 but this stool was made in the late Victorian era circa 1880-1900
The stool has been fully restored, the leather upholstery is all brand new, its Premium Italia fully aniline cattle hide which is upholstered plain then hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, this is the finest example of this type of stool you will see anywhere
The timber has a nice original patina with lots of age and charm
