Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale a fully restored very large hand dyed brown leather Chesterfield buttoned George Smith hearth footstool Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. I have two more of these listed under my other items in nero black This stool was originally purchased from George Smith, it has been fully restored to include having the old colour stripped out, its then been hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, this is the only one of these stools in the world with this exact colour finish The frame is solid beech wood which has been ebonized black, this has been left as it is because it has a nice look and feel. The castors are all polished chrome and contrast nicely with the leather The condition is very good, the timber may have some light age and use related patina marks here and there buts its all in keeping with the vintage look and feel Dimensions Height:- 45cm Width:- 164.5cm Depth:- 7cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
