A magnificent partial set of French directoire period seating in parcel paint and 24 karat gilding, original finish. The original custom upholstery depicts floral themes on a citrine color background. Similar in style and upholstery to a famous set Petit Trianon. In the style and period Jacob circa 1780. No obvious markings on the piece. In good condition. Gentle wear consistent with and use. This important late 18th Century French salon grouping would add impact and glamour to your interiors whether as a dramatic center point in a contemporary setting or a classic foundation for a grand room.
