About the Item

Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset — Yoko 3-Seater Sofa with Matching Pouf, 1980s Jacquard Linen-Wool Blend Upholstery in Earth Tones The Yoko sofa by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset is one of the most enigmatic designs of the 1980s. Introduced in 1985 and produced only for a few short years (until around 1989), it belongs to the true collectables of French design history. No reissues, no later editions. Only the rare originals from that brief window of production. This particular set, comprising a generous three-seater sofa and a matching pouf, embodies the relaxed, low-slung aesthetic that fits seamlessly into bohemian, Ibizan, Japandi, and wabi-sabi interiors. It has been newly reupholstered in a luxurious jacquard fabric of 810 g/m², a premium heavyweight textile woven in earthy, understated tones. The fabric combines a natural blend of linen, wool, and cotton, reinforced with subtle synthetic fibers for durability, stability, and refined tactility. The structured jacquard weave enhances Ducaroy’s sculptural design and adds a soft architectural presence. The foam interior remains in excellent condition, providing perfect support and comfort, exactly as intended. The set is offered in exceptional condition, a true collector’s piece with rare matching elements and a flawless finish. As an alternative yet complementary design to Ducaroy’s more famous creations, the Yoko reflects his vision of modular, informal living and represents an extremely scarce opportunity to acquire an authentic Ligne Roset ensemble with unique presence and historical significance.
